Revenant Dead News

Hey everyone, felt like writing a blog to let you know what's going on in our world. As you know, we released our second album Two Evils earlier this year and we've been overwhelmed with the reviews and support we've had for the album. It's great that our fans are getting behind us and supporting us. The album is still available from our Official Website www.revenantdead.com/store.

I sit here, drinking my way through a bottle of JD with an urge to speak to you all. Though we've been taking a break. I've been demoing alot of new songs. And in 2011 there will be a new Revenant Dead album. The new stuff is sounding very explosive, and it's focus is more on the rawness of our first album Imperial Rape March (which is available for free at www.facebook.com/revenantdead1). I'm going to be using a new line of guitar soon, which is very exciting for me. I've been using the Left Handed Fender Telecaster for 3 years now, so, i'm nervous to finally be using a different guitar. I love Teles, but this new guitar is something way more eviler. I'm pretty sure you will all like the guitar and im excited to write our next album with it.

Before all that, we've still got a few songs to release off of Two Evils. A video will be made for one of the songs. Maybe you can guess what song it will be?? It's a song that has not been released yet. Then we have another surprise song for you which I'm sure you will love it. It's our favorite song ever, but, for licensing reasons we couldn't put it on the album, but, we will finally release it soon so you can hear it. And I can't wait to play it live.

Apart from being in freezing cold England, we will be back in rehearsal next week to work on our new setlist. We have a series of shows lined up for the new year which we are looking forward to. Last week, me and Theo were working on samples and focussing on some of the songs on IRM. I can't wait to bring back to life some of those songs. Bloodtide was such an explosive live track, and the mid-section was a special moment for me because i played it with the guitar behind my back. Go check out the song on www.facebook.com/revenantdead1. Every show, i try to do something different and unique. In recent times, when we play the song 'Revenant', I play that solo behind my back. I think this type of thing is cool to do. I can't have explosives and fireworks coming out of my guitar like KISS or Rammstein, so i try to find different ways to make things cool.
