Two Evils

Metal Webzine Loucifer Speaks has reviewed Two Evils.

There are a number of bands coming out of Britain at the moment that show just how metal of a nation we are. Revenant Dead are definitely one of them. While the English football team may be leaving you with that bitter taste of disappointment, Revenant Dead make you proud to be British again. Hmmm… I seem to have digressed a bit… even though I can’t stand football and haven’t watched any matches, it’s still managed to sneak it’s way into one of my reviews. I think they must put something in the water around World Cup time.

Two Evils Review By: James Austin of The Metal Magdalene

Well I’m mid-album right now, and I gotta say this is a very well written album. I hear a mix of influences, from 69 Eyes type music, to black metal roots, and a bit modern metal type stuff. From start to finish you can hear the rise and fall of this albums story. The melodies In Two Evils are incredible, along with the solos and the overall mood of each song. The placement of the songs on this record make it flow very smoothly, hard to find in a lot of albums these days, unless it’s a demo.

UberRock.co.uk Review TWO EVILS

'Atrophy', the opening track of 'Two Evils', the new opus from Birmingham quartet Revenant Dead, may have you thinking you've picked up a hybrid nu-death metal release but you soon realise that you're actually walking in the shadow of UK doom masters Paradise Lost.

Sea of Tranquility Review Two Evils

When I reviewed this bands debut disc Imperial Rape March it became clear that these guys have something special. Combining elements of death, industrial and even the heavy metal of today, Revenant Dead takes it a step further by exposing the roots of the multi branched tree which makes up the world of music in which they dwell.

Two Evils Reviewed by Shred Reviews

Building on the success of their 2007 release Imperial Rape March, Two Evils is an 11 track album that continues their tradition of releasing solid chunks of blistering metal, eschewing the more usual EP format that so many bands choose to utilise -- these guys are clearly prolific songwriters and given the high standard of their material then maintaining the impetus of the music across 11 tracks goes a long way towards establishing their credentials as a band to be watched very closely indeed.
