Released: 2nd March 2010
Birmingham-based metal band Revenant Dead are still basking in the success of their 2nd full-length album release. 'Two Evils' was released in March 2010 to rave reviews, and the band continue to enjoy high praise for their dark and powerful CD.
Keller caught up with vocalist West Addams and guitarist Aydin Guner to find out a little more about the men behind the music.
How did Revenant Dead get together and how did you ensure you all had the same vision for the band?
As the opening track on ‘Two Evils’ bursts into life I am thinking, being new to UK’s Revenant Dead, here comes yet another black metal band with some great riffs and ideas as on ‘Atrophy’ but the same almost routine delivery as the rest. I am soon firmly corrected with the following gem ‘Shallow Grave’ as the band enlarges their approach, sound and the wonderfully mixed vocal style of West.
Rising from the depths of the industrial city of Birmingham, Revenant Dead 'seek to defy traditional blends of new wave music' with a tightly twisted mix of metal, rock, industrial and thrash.
Revenant Dead is made up of vocalist West Addams, Aydin Guner on guitar, James Warren on bass and Theo Lawrence on the drums. They released their debut album, 'Imperial Rape March' in September 2007 to rave reviews, and followed that up with their second album, 'Two Evils' in March 2010.
